Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar formally placed the foundation stone for the Sheranwala Gate Flyover Project on Thursday (October 07). The project, valued at PKR 4.90 billion, was also called Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh officially, after the great Sufi saint of Lahore.
Lahore Development Authority, LDA Director General (DG) Ahmad Aziz Tarar told CM Buzdar that the flyover is one kilometer long and can handle 130,000 vehicles per day. We anticipate the flyover to manage traffic from the Circular Road, Masti Gate, Badami Bagh, Railway Station, and surrounding neighborhoods.
Furthermore, the project will run from Naulakha Police Station to Sheranwala Gate, Yaki Gate, Delhi Gate, and Australia Chowk Railway Road. The flyover is 400 meters long and has a 400-meter elevation point. It is also one of the city’s longest flyovers.
